
Simon Zhang is a first-year student from Yunnan, China. He plans to read Philosophy and Social Research and Public Policy at NYU Abu Dhabi. He is especially interested in global human dignity initiatives, student accessibility and the decolonization the curriculum in higher education, and inter-religious dialogues.
Becoming “carefree”, as humans in a deeply polarized world, robs us of our essence — our being is grounded in our cares and values. We cannot escape politics, as we see in our diverse liberal arts education.
