We spent the rest of our evening expelling heavy sighs and furiously writing in our notebooks, phones and eventually the walls of Warehouse 421. We were angry.
While many of us are outraged by the prospective demolition of Mina Zayed, we must not forget that these spaces are being regenerated to be more consumable to a certain kind of people: us.
The Cup and The Saucer is a new Warehouse 421 exhibition that has emerged from the roots of the UAE. It is a surrealist and contemporary attempt at making sense of the local landscape’s accelerated change.
