Sunday Sessions with Adam
The Model Arab League brings new, exciting changes to student life as they present the first-ever Sunday Sessions with Adam. If you want to learn about Egypt and its politics but haven’t had the chance to fit political science or international relations electives into your schedule, use this session as an opportunity. Students will be able to discuss a new topic every session while enjoying Egyptian koshari. The first SSWA is to take place on April 8 at 5:30 p.m. in The Living Room. All students are encouraged to come and participate in the discussion.
Global Shakespeare Student Festival
If you’re a fan of Shakespeare or public readings of short plays, make sure to mark your calendar for April 8 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m for the Global Shakespeare Student Festival. Students from different universities, including NYU Abu Dhabi, Ashoka University from Delhi, Cairo University from Egypt and Mary Baldwin University from the U.S. will gather together to present their work on Shakespeare’s Pericles in a series of short productions. The event will take place in the Arts Center in room 144, and all members of the student body are encouraged to participate.
Let’s Talk about Consent
Talking about consent is important at any time of the year, but the Health Promotion Office and REACH have allocated a special time for students to discuss the topic in a comfortable setting. From April 8 to 10, students are invited to join different sessions of Consent Dialogue to talk about what it means to give and receive consent, along with the gray areas in between. There are four sessions to choose from, and students can sign up for the one based on their interest in the challenges faced by the specific group. All sessions will be led by REACH members, and they will be open and welcoming to all students. You can sign up
