####Humanities Perspective Sparks Campus Discussion
Following a weekend of intense online debate, NYU Shanghai students participated in a forum held by the Ally Week Committee, Collective Voice, Model UN, the Identity and Advocacy club and NYUSH’s Student Government. The discussion, titled A Conversation About Identity in the 21st Century, centered around exploring and discussing issues about identity, discrimination and activism that have circulated around campus following the explosive response to an On Century Avenue article published previously. The
opinion piece was published in the wake of a talk given by several humanities professors on France’s Burkini Ban, held on Oct. 25.
