Over the past long weekend, the NYU Abu Dhabi Arabic department organized a class trip to Jordan. Two dozen of the students enrolled in Intermediate Arabic I and II, Advanced Arabic I and Palestinian Dialect classes flew out on Wednesday night to experience three days of Jordanian language, culture and food.
Highlights of the trip included a visit to the Citadel overlooking the city of Amman, shopping in the downtown souks, a short climb up Mount Nebo, an afternoon sunbathing at the Dead Sea, chatting with Jordanian language peers and, of course, non-stop immersion in Arabic.
