General Assembly Report

A recap on what's been discussed in last Sunday's General Assembly.

Apr 14, 2018

Student Government's General Assembly meeting this past week was brief, with feminine hygiene products and sexual assault being the only topics of discussion.
The Menstrual Hygiene Product pilot program has been launched after much work by the Office of Health Promotion, REACH and the Student Government. Tampons and pantyliners are now available free of charge in the most frequently visited female bathrooms around campus. The pilot project aims to gauge the demand for these products to ensure corresponding supply in the future, when it evolves into a permanent system.
Nela Noll, Class of 2019 and Chair of the Campus Life Policy Committee, then discussed sexual assault and a peer-to-peer guide on reporting such incidents if they occur.
